FINALLY!! SOME NEWS WORTHY OF THIS TOKU OTAKU'S FANDOM RANTS!!!

The finally gave a release date for the New Toku movie I've been SO excited for! And by “I” I mean J-Foo of course. The new “Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider War feat. Super Sentai “ movie will be coming out the 29th of MARCH!!!!!! Though sadly us in the states will have to wait about a year for it to his DVD in Japan, and then for it to fan translated over into english subtitles, but I'm ALWAYS excited for MORE Kamen Rider and Super Sentai related stuff.

You're probably wondering “J-foo, you're devilishly handsome and have a svelte debonair voice... and ALSO, what the hell is Kamen Rider and Super Sentai!?” WELL my friends! That is easy, but at the same time, a VERY difficult question!

I'll start with Super Sentai. Super Sentai is a series of shows that started in japan in the early 60's. You in the states may know it as “Power Rangers”. Super Sentai is basically where Power rangers gets most of it's stock footage from, the suits, props, AND as with most of the newer shows, the story line. Now the original Power Rangers actually made up their own storyline all the way from MMPR (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) to Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. Ever since then, most of the stories have been taken from the Japanese version... but mostly dumbed down to a ridiculous extent that it's obnoxious.

Now Kamen Rider. Now you may, or may NOT have heard about this one. The made it into a show in America back in the 90's called “Masked Rider” which is the literal translation of “Kamen Rider”. But the show was SO bad, and America raped it so badly that the Creator of Kamen Rider, The EXTREMELY famous Japanese Manga (Comic) Artist “Shoutarou Ishinomori” told America “... No more...” and halted all production of Masked rider and any other American adaptations of Kamen Rider over his dead body... and in the year 2000, he died. And this the raping of a Japanese Icon continued when America released “Kamen Rider Dragon Knight”. Now, this one was better than Masked Rider, but still fell short or impressive and got canceled before the final two episodes could be aired, which were actually the two best episodes of the show. If they actually took THAT much care into make the show as they did the last two episodes of the show, then that should might've actually caught someones interest.

So you're wondering. Why are they in a movie together? Cause they were created by the same person, and the fact these shows are still going on are almost astronomically parallel with Doctor Who. And you're probably wondering “Well how many are there? There can't be that many power rangers. And I just heard about Kamen Ranger”. Well first off, IT'S KAMEN RIDER you douche! And second, there are over 200 Power Rangers, or “Sentai” in japan. And well over 100 Kamen Riders. so... if an army of masked spandex clad super heroes in foam army are having trouble fighting something... then it must be bad... The way I see it, these heroes have always represented something to me, even power rangers when I was a kid. And the was the fact that, they'll always be there when we need them most. They are the hope to cling to, and the ones who will protect us in the hour of need when all hope is lost. It's cheesy, yes. But we all wish that this was something we could really rely on in reality to prevent tragedies that happen daily.
