Gaming Fun With J-Foo: The Hidden Feat. Mr. Grey

Hey! Mr. Grey and I (J-Foo) got silly with some Hidden! fun freakin' game! there are two teams, the hunters and the Hidden. The hunters are a team up to 9 players, and the hidden is a team of 1, and both of their goals is to kill one another. the advantage the Hidden has over the Hunters is that he's invisible and has aone hit kill. so he has to pick off his enemies one by one. check it out guys. it's a full conversion mod of half-life two, but you don't need the game to play it. Definately worth playing guys!

From the couch front, to the Battlefield 4!

By Mr. Grey

Everything hurts... My feet, the scars on my face, and hell, I think even my boots feel like they're hurting... And at the forefront of my mind is how hungry I am getting. One can't help bu feel hungry when they are beat, electrocuted, and forced to watch one of your friends get his teeth knocked in. Funny thing is, we did not give them any information. The funny thing is Irish would have spilled his guts for some food, but all that is in the past now. Out objective, we must destroy the dam! I pick up my very expensive, and very fancy PLD (Portable Laser Designator).

I see at least fifteen enemies, with another hundred yards or more to cover as more enemies hide, each one wanting our heads impaled on a stick. I can still hear Irish and Hana fighting about where we should plant the C4. I get very tired of this and pick out two enemies that had wondered off by themselves. I grab my Steyr Scout Elite sniper rifle I hold my breath and let the bullet travel to the first target. He felt nothing as I quickly found the second one in my sights. I follow and lead him as he RUNS OFF the dam!

I switch to my PLD and watch as he lands on the ground safely and still continues to run. I pause my game. Great another thing I can add to the list of crap that has happened on battlefield 4. So far the list of bugs I have found in this game is as follows:

three times my memory and game progress has been wiped along with the awards I worked hard to achieve. So I had to start all over again, I even had to pull an all nighter to get this done. Even so, I tripped up two times in the process. It got to be such a problem that I had to report the problems to Sony. But even then, I had to pick up the game and fight my way through enemies that I already killed before. Another time, as I was climbing up a ladder, I glitched through Irish. After that, I got tossed through the air, landing on a pile of sharp pointy rubble that was on fire. I was stuck, and could not escape as the fire began killing me. Basically this forced me to restart again...

So what do I think of Battlefield 4's storyline? Over all it is good, but having to watch the same crap over and over thanks to all those glitches got old fast. This really does not feel well knowing that the game was not finished. It's nice that they got multi-player polished up, but the holes left in the other aspects of the game made it frustrating. Like the game crashing, and losing memory files. But if one of you were to buy this game, more than likely you are getting it for the multi-player, which they were ACTUALLY able to get done in time. So my question is, when will the new “Battlefield: Bad Company” come out? will they ever finish that story? All questions we want answers to, and so far... no answers... *sigh*

Nerds Social Contract: Judgment

Hey folks, J-Foo here!

This isn't going to be the usual wild and zany post from J-foo like most times. I thought I'd actually post something heavily related to what Nerds Socialize is about. I had an experience at work today that reminded me of certain social events in my life that made me not want to socialize with people as much. Through out my life, there has been a very constant and common theme that seems to pop up when I meet new people. It is something that irritates me, frustrates me, and angers me. When you meet someone, they usually make a judgment on you the moment they set eyes on you. For me, this judgment is that I'm some rich kid whose never worked a day in his life, never known struggle and has had everything handed to me on a silver platter.

I do not know why people think this of me, but I always find it irritating and an unfair judgment because people do not know who I am. At my last job, I literally heard that description of me said to a coworker as I was working. This was on my FIRST day there, and they weren't sure if they were going to keep me. I worked so hard, and sweat so much from moving so fast and pretty much doing a two person job by myself that they hired me THAT day. The boss that was saying I was some privileged kid told me “man.. you work harder than I thought you would...” it made me happy to impress, but at the same time, it annoyed me that I had to show them how good I work just form them to actually respect me. It's like that at my current job now.

When I started boxing, the situation was exactly the same. My coach didn't like me (albeit he didn't tell me til 4 months later) and he wanted me to give up on boxing SO much. He eventually told me “I didn't like you... just something about how you looked I just didn't like...” and eventually he finally revealed what it was. He was so used to people coming from suburban area's (like me) who just want to be tough, or want to try boxing cause it's cool. He then revealed “But, you are the exception to that rule, you actually work and actually enjoy the sport”. I was so surprised when he told me, but felt proud that I was considered and exception to the rule for once.

So I guess what I'm getting at is, try not to judge people just because they seem a certain way. Try to give people a shot before you write them off. You might be surprised at what you may find. You might find a new friend you never expected to find, or you may just find a nice conversation to enjoy. That's it for my rantings today, have a good night folks, and see ya on the other side!
