THE GRANDFATHER OF FIRST-PERSON-SHOOTING RETURNS IN WOLFENSTEIN: THE NEW ORDER

Greetings from StormWulf, and welcome to another gaming update. We got alot to talk about to day so settle in and get comfortable.

First things first, the guys at Ubisoft have decided to re-release an HD remastered version of the original Far Cry. Far Cry: Classic, as it's called, will be available on both the PSN and the XBL: Market place on Feb.12th for a small fee of $9.99. For those of you who live in Europe Farcry Classic will be available in store as part of a Far Cry compilation called Far Cry: The Wild Expedition, which will include Far Cry's 1-3 as well as FC: Blood Dragon for a small fee of 29.99 euros. For those of us who do not live in Europe, Ubisoft has decided to release a similar compilation call Far Cry: The Compilation, but it will be a PS3 exclusive and it will NOT be including Far Cry 1 and will cost $39.99. So probably better off spending your $9.99 for the original and buying the rest seperately.

Now we come to the meat and taters portion of todays gaming update. Wolfenstein, to veteran gamers like myself, Wolfenstein is synonomous with being the very first first-person shooting game. It paved the way for some of the best game series on store shelves today. Without it there wouldn't be any HALO's or Call of Duties, just a world ruled by Side-scrolling Platformers, which there is nothing wrong with, just the gaming world is better to have seen the creation of such a genre. Now the gaming grand dad is back and with an entirely new engine and gameplay, so be prepared to enter the world of Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Title: Wolfenstein: The New Order

Developer(s): Machine Games

Publisher(s): Bethesda SoftWorks

Genre(s): First-Person-Shooter

Platform(s): PC, PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, XBOX One
Release Date: 2014

Plot: Set in an alternate version of 1960s Europe, where the Nazis prevailed in the second World War, players re-assume control of the series protaganist: William "B.J." Blazkowicz. Blazkowicz, who is know as an American war hero, is tasked with launching an "impossible" counter-offensive mission to take out the Nazi regime and the arsenal of "super-weapons".

Gameplay/Overview:  New Order will follow in true FPS fashion having players play across different levels to complete seperate mission objectives and tasks. Player health will be a little different than most games now, where in the player health bar will be divided into seperate sections that can regenerate overtime, but loose on section of health and players will have to rely on health packs to regain lost health. All paranormal themes from the preivous games have been completely removed from this title, instead game developers are going to be focusing more on retro-futuristic elements. With New Order being this far from a release date, not much has been revealed about its gameplay, but extensive research on my part has revealed elements of underwater exploration, along with moments of mountain-esc vehicles chases, as well as player-controlable Nazi war machines. When more info is released you can expect StormWulf to be there to retrive it and deliver it to you my little gaming minions. Until then...stay frosty minions!

Gaming Fun With J-Foo: The Hidden Feat. Mr. Grey

Hey! Mr. Grey and I (J-Foo) got silly with some Hidden! fun freakin' game! there are two teams, the hunters and the Hidden. The hunters are a team up to 9 players, and the hidden is a team of 1, and both of their goals is to kill one another. the advantage the Hidden has over the Hunters is that he's invisible and has aone hit kill. so he has to pick off his enemies one by one. check it out guys. it's a full conversion mod of half-life two, but you don't need the game to play it. Definately worth playing guys!

From the couch front, to the Battlefield 4!

By Mr. Grey

Everything hurts... My feet, the scars on my face, and hell, I think even my boots feel like they're hurting... And at the forefront of my mind is how hungry I am getting. One can't help bu feel hungry when they are beat, electrocuted, and forced to watch one of your friends get his teeth knocked in. Funny thing is, we did not give them any information. The funny thing is Irish would have spilled his guts for some food, but all that is in the past now. Out objective, we must destroy the dam! I pick up my very expensive, and very fancy PLD (Portable Laser Designator).

I see at least fifteen enemies, with another hundred yards or more to cover as more enemies hide, each one wanting our heads impaled on a stick. I can still hear Irish and Hana fighting about where we should plant the C4. I get very tired of this and pick out two enemies that had wondered off by themselves. I grab my Steyr Scout Elite sniper rifle I hold my breath and let the bullet travel to the first target. He felt nothing as I quickly found the second one in my sights. I follow and lead him as he RUNS OFF the dam!

I switch to my PLD and watch as he lands on the ground safely and still continues to run. I pause my game. Great another thing I can add to the list of crap that has happened on battlefield 4. So far the list of bugs I have found in this game is as follows:

three times my memory and game progress has been wiped along with the awards I worked hard to achieve. So I had to start all over again, I even had to pull an all nighter to get this done. Even so, I tripped up two times in the process. It got to be such a problem that I had to report the problems to Sony. But even then, I had to pick up the game and fight my way through enemies that I already killed before. Another time, as I was climbing up a ladder, I glitched through Irish. After that, I got tossed through the air, landing on a pile of sharp pointy rubble that was on fire. I was stuck, and could not escape as the fire began killing me. Basically this forced me to restart again...

So what do I think of Battlefield 4's storyline? Over all it is good, but having to watch the same crap over and over thanks to all those glitches got old fast. This really does not feel well knowing that the game was not finished. It's nice that they got multi-player polished up, but the holes left in the other aspects of the game made it frustrating. Like the game crashing, and losing memory files. But if one of you were to buy this game, more than likely you are getting it for the multi-player, which they were ACTUALLY able to get done in time. So my question is, when will the new “Battlefield: Bad Company” come out? will they ever finish that story? All questions we want answers to, and so far... no answers... *sigh*
